ALENTEJO

… come enjoy
nature …

… rurality
and quiet…
…in a small
Alentejo hill

Monte do Castelejo was thought out and developed over the last two/three years, with the recovery and adaptation of a group of houses in ruins, in an attempt to give life to a small Alentejo hill, already almost completely abandoned.
Monte do Castelejo is composed of three houses perfectly inserted in the rural landscape of Baixo Alentejo and which, in addition to good moments of leisure, intends to offer its guests the benefits of the peace and quiet of Alentejo.
In the area, guests can also enjoy birdwatching and hiking trails, hunting reserves (Mértola, the national hunting capital), and local cuisine (award-winning Alentejo bread, artisanal sheep’s cheese, ham and sausages, extra quality wines and even a small craft brewery).
